Mareclean PAC

Our Mareclean products are based on polyaluminium chloride (PAC) solutions, modified with one or more. 

The inorganic salt PAC is produced from the raw materials aluminium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid.

PAC solutions are rather acid and feature highly charged aluminium ions that form reactive cationic oligomers. Once PAC is introduced in the water system, it destabilises and removes unwanted suspended materials.

Our Mareclean family comprises PAC with different additives that improve and widen the applications of just pure PAC:

• inorganic metal salts: as reducing flocculation agent

• cationic polymers: using low to high molecular weights and charge density, as neutraliser for an excess of anionic charge
